Veteran singer Anuradha Paudwal has now reacted to famous musician AR Rahman’s claims of increasing ‘communalism’ in Bollywood. Amidst the controversy arising out of this statement of Rehman, Anuradha has come to his defense. He described Rehman as a ‘very virtuous and saint-like person’ and said that he had no malice towards anyone. Let us know what Anuradha said.

ANI Speaking to , Anuradha admitted that she has never met Rahman in person, but the depth of his music is enough to say that he is a ‘saint-like person’. According to Anuradha, music never lies and the sincerity in Rahman’s tunes is the biggest proof of his being a noble person. Amidst the uproar over Rehman’s alleged communal remarks, Anuradha blamed the media.

Anuradha said, “Not only Rahman, but any artist is deliberately asked such tricky questions during interviews, so that a controversial answer can be elicited.” According to him, in today’s era, TV channels do not like simple and straightforward interviews because they want ‘mirch-masala’. Anuradha clearly said that in media interviews, questions are often asked in such a way that the artist gets provoked into giving a special or controversial reaction.
Anuradha said- Rahman’s contribution and status are far above all these controversies.
Anuradha, singer of evergreen songs like ‘Nazar Ke Samne’, considered Rahman’s contribution to the music world as iron and described him as beyond controversies. He said that given the position Rehman has achieved and the height he is at, no controversy or outside influence can harm his career. According to Anuradha, these controversies have no meaning compared to the magic that Rahman’s songs have spread across the world.

The industry has been divided into two parts after Rahman linked the changes in Bollywood in the last 8 years and the decline in his work to ‘communalism’. While celebrities like Kangana Ranaut, Rani Mukerji, and Subhash Ghai expressed displeasure over his statement, Anuradha has been seen standing in support of Rehman. Actually, Rehman had said that Bollywood is gradually becoming ‘communal’, hence his work has reduced in the last few years.
