The weather patterns in North India may change due to the activation of a new western disturbance. In some states the mercury has reached 40 degrees, due to which the scorching heat has started to be felt. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), heat wave is expected in Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Goa and the temperature is expected to be 4-6 degrees above normal. On the other hand, there may be light rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayan region till March 15.
There will be relief from rain in these states
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh for March 10-11. The weather may remain bad in both the states till March 15. Due to Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of rain with strong wind of 30-50 km/hour in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha till March 10-11. IMD said that due to cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal, isolated showers may occur over Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
There will be severe heat in Delhi for 2 days
There is a possibility of severe heat in Delhi for 2 days from today. During this period, the day temperature is expected to reach 38-40 degrees and the night temperature is expected to reach 20 degrees. The effect of heat has started becoming visible in Uttar Pradesh also. The maximum temperature here is being recorded 4-8 degrees more than normal. However, fog is also being seen in some areas in the morning. In Madhya Pradesh, the temperature may rise by 2-3 degrees in the next 4 days.
