Bellary: There was a violent clash between Congress and BJP supporters in Bellary, Karnataka late on Thursday night. A Congress worker Rajashekhar was also killed in the firing during this clash. Now a big revelation has come to light regarding the death of Congress worker Rajashekhar. According to police sources, post-mortem and forensic examination have revealed that the bullet that hit Rajasekhar was allegedly fired from the gun of the personal bodyguard of Congress MLA Nara Bharat Reddy.
Bullet found matching the bodyguard’s gun
Let us tell you that the post-mortem of Rajasekhar was done at Bellary Medical College and Research Centre. The forensic team found part of a 12 mm single bore bullet from his body. During investigation, this part is said to match the cartridges which were used in the guns seized from the personal and government bodyguards of Congress MLA Nara Bharat Reddy and his close ones.
Police seized five guns
After the clash, the police seized a total of five guns belonging to private and government gunmen of Bharat Reddy and his associates and kept them in Brucepet police station. Forensic experts compared the material found at the scene and the bullet fragments recovered during post-mortem with these weapons. According to senior officials, scientific evidence indicates that the fatal bullet was fired from the gun of one of these bodyguards.
Two FIRs filed
Let us inform that after BJP’s complaint in this matter, FIR has also been registered against Congress MLA Nara Bharat Reddy and his supporters. Two separate FIRs have been registered against MLA Nara Bharat Reddy and his supporters in connection with the clash in the city. Both these FIRs have been registered under Brucepet police station area.
Total 64 people nominated
According to the information, on the basis of BJP’s complaint, allegations of intrusion, caste based remarks and attempt to attack have been made in the house of MLA Janardhan Reddy. These allegations include the names of many people including MLA Bharat Reddy, his father Suryanarayana Reddy, uncle Pratap Reddy and close associates Satish Reddy, Chainal Shekhar, Lokesh Avvambavi, Gangadhar. In one case an FIR has been registered against 41 people, while in the other case an FIR has been registered against 23 people. Both the complaints have been registered at Brucepet police station.
