Bengaluru: A Canadian woman has accused a therapist of sexual harassment during a massage at a prestigious hotel in the city. He has also lodged a complaint regarding this matter at Vidhana Soudha Police Station. According to the information, the woman has accused the massage therapist in a hotel of sexual harassment. The woman alleges that the hotel management had asked her to end the matter by returning Rs 7,000 out of the Rs 10,000 given to her for the massage. At present the police is investigating the matter. Police say that there is a lack of clarity in the claims made by the woman. At present all aspects related to this are being investigated.
The woman accused the hotel management
According to the statement of the Canadian woman, the therapist not only harassed her but also opened the door while she was half naked. He claimed that despite reporting the matter to the hotel management, his concerns were dismissed. The woman further alleged that out of the ₹10,000 she had paid for the massage, the hotel refunded ₹7,000 and advised her not to pursue the issue further. Dissatisfied with the hotel’s response, he approached the police and lodged a formal complaint about the matter.
Police engaged in investigation of the case
Police sources said that there is lack of clarity in the allegations in the complaint. He said the woman allegedly demanded a huge amount as compensation, which the hotel refused to give. After this he lodged a complaint with the police. The woman, who was scheduled to perform at a music festival in Bengaluru, canceled the program and left the city after the incident. Officials confirmed that the matter is under investigation and all possible aspects related to it are being examined.
