Bengaluru: A tragic accident took place near Nelamangala on the outskirts of the city. Here five people died in a collision between a car and a KSRTC bus. Police gave information about this accident on Sunday. According to the police, the incident occurred around midnight on Saturday, when the car going towards Bengaluru collided with the divider and went into the opposite lane. After this the car collided with the bus coming from the front. According to the police, the accident was so severe that all four people in the car died on the spot, while another person was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital, where he died.
All the deceased were between 17 and 22 years.
Officials suspect that the car may have been going at high speed and the driver may have lost control, leading to the accident. The car was badly damaged in the accident. The age of the deceased is said to be 17 to 22 years, who were residents of Doddaballapura. However, all the 43 passengers on board the bus did not suffer any significant injuries. After the accident, the bus passengers were sent to another bus for onward journey. Madanayakanahalli police has registered a case regarding this entire incident. Police say that further investigation is being done in the matter.
The person had left asking for the temple
Joint Commissioner of Police Karthik Reddy said the cause of the accident would be investigated and it would also be ascertained whether the driver of the car and the occupants had consumed alcohol. “We have collected blood samples and sent them to FSL for testing. Their background is also being investigated,” he said. The mother of one of the victims said that her son had told her that he was going to the temple and would be late. He said, “I have lost my son, who was an adult. He worked as a CCTV camera operator. They (all the deceased) were all friends, I don’t know whose car this is.
Five died in Tamil Nadu also
In another accident, there was a collision between a two-wheeler and a tourist vehicle in Vappar-I village of Tamil Nadu. At least five people, including two children, died in this accident. Chief Minister MK Stalin expressed condolences for the deceased and announced ex-gratia. In a statement, Stalin expressed grief over the accident and said he was deeply shocked to learn that all five occupants of the two-wheeler died on the spot after it collided with an oncoming vehicle. The dead included two boys aged three and five. The Chief Minister announced an amount of Rs 3 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
