Beware of Gimmicks on Social Media: Police Commissioner’s Khadak Warning

Bengaluru, February 27: Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh has issued a stern warning against excessive gimmicks on social media in the name of movie promotion. In recent times, he mentioned that some people are indulging in dangerous and crazy acts in order to promote movies. In one instance of movie promotion, a video of a freak drinking petrol was leaked on social media. Later the man had to be admitted to the hospital. The commissioner said that such cheap gimmicks send a wrong message to the society and are unnecessary and dangerous.

Seemanth Kumar Singh has also warned that strict legal action will be taken against the abusers of social media. Any promotional activity outside the legal framework is not allowed. He said that violators of the law should be punished.
