Big accident on Makar Sankranti, bike rider’s throat cut by Chinese Manja, he died on the spot

A major accident occurred while flying kites on Makar Sankranti in Bidar, Karnataka. The bike rider’s throat was cut by a Chinese manjha. Because of this he died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Kumar Hosanmani (48), a resident of Bambulagi village, Bidar taluk. The accident occurred near Talmadgi village of Chittaguppa taluk when the string of a Chinese manjha lying on the road suddenly got entangled around his neck. He died on the spot due to excessive bleeding after falling from the bike.

Sanjay Kumar was going to Humnabad to bring his daughter back from the hostel for Sankranti festival. His body has been sent to the mortuary of Mannekhalli Government Hospital for post-mortem. The case falls under the jurisdiction of Mannekhalli police station and further investigation is underway.

Manjha’s string stuck around the neck

According to the information, when Sanjay was riding a motorcycle, the string of a manja lying on the road got stuck around his neck, due to which his throat was cut. Due to this he fell down and died due to injuries. It is learned that the deceased was 48 years old and worked as a lorry cleaner.

There is a ban on Chinese Manja

Let us tell you that a campaign is being run in the entire district for the last three days. In view of the Sankranti festival, the use of manja thread for flying kites has already been banned. Despite this, we have received information that some shops are still selling this banned thread. We have seized it from two-three places and once again we are clearly warning all the shop owners that strict legal action will be taken against anyone selling or using Ban Manja thread.
