Big news related to the clash between BJP and Congress workers in Bellary, Karnataka has come to light. In fact, the government has formally transferred the investigation into the January 1 violence in Bellary to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Let us tell you that Congress MLA Nara Bharat Reddy and BJP MLA G. The 26-year-old Congress worker was killed in a clash between supporters of Janardhana Reddy. Since then, a political deadlock has arisen between the two parties.
A worker had died
Actually, the unrest started on New Year’s Day when BJP MLA G. Controversy broke out over the installation of banners near Janardhan Reddy’s residence. The dispute started due to disagreement between the two parties and soon stone pelting started. Meanwhile, firing was also done, in which Congress worker Rajashekhar got shot during the chaos and later he died.
Superintendent of Police suspended
Following the incident, the state government had suspended Bellary Superintendent of Police Pawan Nejjoor for failing to maintain law and order. Police later lodged four FIRs at Brucepet police station and so far 26 people from both sides have been arrested. Now it remains to be seen when CBI will complete the investigation of this case.
Janardhan Reddy said there was a threat to his life
Recently, after this incident, BJP MLA G Janardhan Reddy had also written a letter to the Home Minister and CM. The BJP MLA had demanded Z category security citing threat to his life. Apart from this, he had said that the security system in the state has completely failed. He alleged that Sathish Reddy and his men launched the direct attack on the orders of MLA Nara Bharat Reddy.
