Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party is going to form the government in Assam for the third consecutive time with an overwhelming majority. He said that the public is ready to form the NDA government once again. Amit Shah claimed that his party will win more than 90 out of 126 seats in the assembly.

Tour starts with road show

Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to Assam. He has started his tour with a road show. He did this road show in support of NDA candidates for the assembly elections to be held on April 9 in the state.

Amit Shah held a road show in support of BJP candidate Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma, Vijay Kumar Gupta (Guwahati Central), Diplu Ranjan Sharma (New Guwahati), Pradyut Bordoloi (Dispur) and Assam Gana Parishad (AGP) candidate Tapan Das (Dimoria) contesting from Jalukbari seat.

Supporters gave a warm welcome

This road show started from the grounds of Arya Vidyapeeth College and ended at Nepali Mandir Point in the Central Assembly constituency of Guwahati. A distance of about two kilometers was covered during the road show on AK Azad Road. Standing on an open SUV decorated with BJP posters, Shah was given a warm welcome by the enthusiastic crowd and party supporters present along the way. During his two-day visit, he will address several election rallies as well as meet top BJP officials.
