New Delhi: Immediately after the results of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, BJP has come into action mode. BJP Bihar on Saturday (November 15) took strict action against senior leader and former Union Minister RK Singh and suspended him from the party. BJP has taken this action due to anti-party activities and has asked them to reply within a week.

Bihar BJP has also suspended party MLC Ashok Kumar Agarwal and Katihar Mayor Usha Agarwal on charges of “anti-party activities”. The party has also asked him to reply within a week.

Why was action taken against RK Singh?

RK Singh has been the Energy Minister and former Union Home Secretary in the Narendra Modi government. He had been consistently vocal against the internal dynamics of the BJP and had criticized several NDA leaders for corruption and factionalism. He openly questioned the Election Commission’s way of handling law and order issues during the elections, especially the violence in Mokama, which he termed as a failure of the administration and the Election Commission.

It is noteworthy that RK Singh is a former MP from Arrah and during the elections itself, he had accused the government of a scam of Rs 60,000 crore.

The wrath fell on the Agarwal family too

Along with the suspension of RK Singh, Bihar BJP also suspended MLC Ashok Kumar Agarwal and his wife, Katihar Mayor Usha Agarwal, citing anti-party activities. Ashok Agarwal controversially fielded his son Saurav Agarwal as the VIP candidate from Katihar, which is believed to be contrary to party instructions.

Both have been asked to submit their reply within a week, which reflects the BJP’s strict stance towards post-poll discipline and internal cohesion.
