Bone-melting cold in North India, rain alert in these states; Know the weather conditions

Severe cold continues in Delhi-NCR. Due to strong winds here for the past several days, the temperature has been falling considerably. Meanwhile, on Friday morning, there was light drizzle in some areas of NCR including the capital Delhi, after which the cold is expected to increase further. Let us tell you that the Meteorological Department has issued a ‘Yellow Alert’ of dense fog for Friday, while the minimum temperature has been predicted to be around six degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature will be around 17 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in the capital Delhi was recorded at 5.8 degrees Celsius on Thursday.

Severe cold in UP

In UP too, people are in distress due to cold. There has been no reduction in cold due to strong winds in many areas. However, due to sunshine during the day, people are definitely getting some relief. According to the weather department, the weather will remain clear for the next three days. The Meteorological Department has not issued any warning regarding cold and excessive fog in the entire state, but there is no relief from the cold. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of cold wave again across the state from next week.

Fear of dense fog in hilly states

Talking about hilly states, it is very cold here also. Dense to very dense fog is expected in states like Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh for the next 4-5 days. Cold wave conditions will persist during this period. Due to cold, people here are avoiding going out even during the day. There is a similar situation in Kashmir also. The temperature is in minus in many areas here. Snowfall is also being seen in many areas. People in Kashmir have been warned not to go out unnecessarily.

Alert regarding rain in these states

On one hand, while people in North India are troubled by the cold, on the other hand, an alert has been issued regarding rain in most of the states of South India. In this, a warning of heavy to very heavy rain has been issued in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala on January 9-10 due to deep depression in the Bay of Bengal. Yellow and orange alerts have also been issued in many districts here. Apart from this, marine fishermen have been advised not to go into the sea. High waves are continuously rising in the sea.
