By-elections announced on 8 seats in 6 states, know when to vote on Ajit Pawar’s Baramati seat

The Election Commission has announced the election dates in four states and one union territory. Voting will be held in all the states in the month of April. Along with this, by-elections have also been announced for 8 assembly seats in six states. By-elections are to be held on two assembly seats in Maharashtra and one in Gujarat. At the same time, by-elections are to be held for one seat each in Goa, Nagaland and Tripura. By-elections will be held on two seats in Karnataka. All these seats have become vacant due to the demise of the then MLAs. According to the Election Commission, the by-elections will be held in two phases. Voting will be held in the first phase in Goa, Karnataka, Nagaland and Tripura on April 9. At the same time, in Maharashtra and Gujarat, voting is to be held in the second phase on April 23.

Voting for Ajit Pawar’s Baramati seat will be held in the second phase on April 23. After the demise of Ajit Pawar, Sunetra Pawar, who took oath as Deputy Chief Minister in his place, is certain to contest from this seat. She is also the President of NCP Legislative Party. In such a situation, it will not be very difficult for him to win this election.

first phase schedule

Voting is to be held on five seats of Goa, Karnataka, Nagaland and Tripura on April 9. The notification for these seats has been issued with the announcement of elections. The last date for nomination is 23 March. The sorting of names will take place on March 24. The last day to withdraw names is March 26. The results will be announced on May 4.

second phase schedule

Voting will be held in the second phase on three seats in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Notifications for these seats will be issued on March 30. April 6 will be the last day for nomination. There will be scrutiny of nominations on 7th April and 9th April will be the last day for withdrawal of nominations. Voting will take place here on April 23 and the results will be announced on May 4.
