Hinkal Canara Bank, Mysore has cheated customers who had pledged gold. The fraud came to light when the mortgaged gold was recovered and brought home. Although the weight of the gold is the same, the nature of the gold has changed, and the case came to light when suspicion arose and the gold ornaments were examined, and the difference in the number of bullets in the gold chain was found. The gold chain which had 85 bullets at the time of mortgage had 77 bullets. It is a big shock for women customers to find 77 bullets instead of 85.

Women customers know they are being cheated when they check when they are not wearing a saree. Hundreds of customers stormed Canara Bank and staged a massive protest, more than 100 customers besieged Canara Bank and vented their anger. The manager said that he has asked the bank officials to return their gold and that an internal investigation will be conducted regarding the case, and Vijayanagar Police Station has visited the incident site and conducted an investigation.
