The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that there may be light to moderate rain in many parts of the country including Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir during the next 2 weeks. Apart from this, minimum temperatures will remain normal in other areas including eastern Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and some areas of Maharashtra, while minimum temperatures will increase in areas of Gujarat and Karnataka. IMD experts have also expressed the possibility of a cyclone by February 15.

It will rain in these states

The meteorologist said that between February 12 and 19, there may be rain in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Arunachal. Apart from all these states, between February 19 and 26, Kerala and the northeastern states of Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura may also receive more than normal rainfall. There is a possibility of less than normal rainfall in the North and North-Eastern parts. Its effect can also be seen on Delhi.

Temperature will increase in other states including Delhi and Uttar Pradesh

According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of much weather change in the plain states of North India including Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in the next 2 weeks. The maximum temperature in the cities here is currently between 24 to 26 degrees Celsius, which can reach 28 degrees. The minimum temperature is likely to be between 9 to 12 degrees. Some impact may be visible from the upcoming 2 western disturbances till 16th February.

There is a possibility of a cyclonic storm

Meteorologists said that this week there is a possibility of a mild cyclonic storm, which is present in the Arabian Sea and its surrounding south-eastern Bay of Bengal. Experts said that its impact is being seen till the middle of the year. Under its influence, a low pressure area may form in that area by 15 February. A cyclonic component is also visible in southern Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile a warning has been issued.
