Chinese woman sentenced to 8 years in jail in India, know here what is her fault

A court in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh has sentenced a Chinese woman to 8 years in jail. The Chinese woman was accused of illegal infiltration into India two years ago. The court has declared Chinese woman Li-Jinmei alias Li-Xinmei guilty in this case. The court has sentenced the woman to eight years imprisonment and also imposed a financial penalty of Rs 50,000.

What is the whole matter?

According to the information revealed, in the month of December 2023, officers of Sashastra Seema Bal 42nd Corps at Rupaidiha border in Bahraich district had stopped a woman holding a Chinese passport while going from India to Nepal in the guise of a Buddhist monk. The Chinese woman had a Chinese passport. She was 45 years old and was a resident of Shandong province of China.

According to the information, the Chinese woman’s passport had a Nepal visa valid from 19 November 2023 to 16 February 2024. He had entered India illegally. After this, a case was registered against the woman under the Foreigners Act and she was arrested. In December 2023, a charge sheet was filed in the court against the Chinese woman.

Failure to pay fine will result in further punishment

According to the information given by the prosecution, on Monday, Chinese woman Li-Jinmei alias Li-Xinmei was found guilty of infiltrating into India without a valid visa and was sentenced. Bahraich district’s Additional District and Sessions Judge (III) Kavita Nigam sentenced the Chinese woman. It has also been said in the sentence that if the Chinese woman does not pay the fine of Rs 50,000, she will have to face 6 more months in jail. (input language)
