Complaints against ‘Toxic’: Chamber President Jayamala stands in support

Yash starrer ‘Toxic’ is the most awaited movie of India. This is a very big project, naturally some people are expressing complaints and criticisms against the movie. Even after the release of the teaser of the movie, the number of people criticizing and complaining has increased. It may be recalled here that complaints were filed about the movie ‘Toxic’ even during the shooting earlier. But now the new president of the Film Chamber Jayamala is standing in support of the movie ‘Toxic’.

Complaints were filed with the Women’s Commission and the Censor Board after the release of the teaser of the movie ‘Toxic’. Now the National Union of Christians has accused the movie ‘Toxic’ of insulting the Archangel Michael. In a press conference held at the Film Chamber today, the new president Jayamala spoke about this and expressed her support for the movie ‘Toxic’.

‘It is wrong to see the teaser of the movie and decide in advance that the whole movie will be like this. If you want to protest, watch the movie and protest. It has been 93 years since the beginning of Kannada film industry, till now it has not insulted other religion even once, the film industry has been tolerant of all religions. Now it is wrong to make accusations about the movie and the film industry after seeing a teaser,’ said Jayamala.

The movie ‘Toxic’ is not yet censored, the censors will watch the movie. If there are such elements, they remove it themselves. But then it is wrong to call the media and make news, what is all this for publicity. Teaser is made to bring people to theaters, it is wrong to see a photo and say that the movie is going to be like this. I hereby appeal to all the members of the association to please have some patience.

Answering the question about the violence and glamorous scenes in the ‘Toxic’ teaser, Jayamala said, ‘Now tell me in which movie there is no violence. But what is important is the reason for that violence in the story. It is not right to complain about violence without knowing the story. Also, we have spoken to the producers of the movie and there is nothing controversial in the movie,’ he said. There is no profanity in the movie, you can’t judge the entire movie from the teaser. However, if there is a problem, the censor board will take care of it.
