Congress on Thursday officially announced the names of its 6 candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. The most prominent name in this list of Congress is that of senior advocate and veteran party leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi. Singhvi has once again been made the candidate from Telangana. Let us tell you that Singhvi is currently also a Rajya Sabha member from Telangana. In the elections being held for two seats in Telangana, Congress has fielded V. Narendra Reddy, close to the Chief Minister, for the second seat.
State wise list of candidates
- Phulo Devi Netam from Chhattisgarh has again been declared a candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections. She is currently a member of Rajya Sabha.
- The party has made Kangra District Congress Committee President Anurag Sharma its candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections from Himachal Pradesh.
- At the same time, Karmaveer Singh Boudh has been made the candidate from Haryana.
- M Christopher Tilak has been declared the candidate from Tamil Nadu.
- Congress has again declared senior advocate Sanghavi as its candidate from Telangana, which it rules. Singhvi is currently a Rajya Sabha member from Telangana.
- Elections are being held for two Rajya Sabha seats in Telangana and Congress has declared V Narendra Reddy as the candidate for the second seat.
CM Nitish will go to Rajya Sabha
At the same time, today is the biggest day in the politics of Bihar. 10-time Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will file nomination for Rajya Sabha today. Nitish Kumar will reach Bihar Assembly at 11:30 am today and file his nomination as a candidate for Rajya Sabha elections. Along with him, Ramnath Thakur will also file nomination as JDU candidate. Union Minister Amit Shah may also be included in Nitish Kumar’s nomination.
Along with this, the search for a new CM face has also started in Bihar. If sources are to be believed, after the resignation of Nitish Kumar, Bihar may have a BJP CM for the first time. Also, Nitish Kumar’s son may also enter politics. On Wednesday, Nitish Kumar held a meeting with JDU MLAs and senior party leaders in Patna, in which it was decided that Nitish Kumar will now do Delhi politics.
