Bangalore: Recently, illegal houses were razed in Kogilu Layout, Bengaluru. Later, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan criticized it as UP-style bulldozer politics in Congress-ruled Karnataka. Yesterday DCM DK Shivakumar visited the place and inspected it. After this, CM Siddaramaiah held a meeting and announced that he will distribute houses built at a cost of Rs 11.2 lakh to the eligible people at a distance of 7 km.
The state government has decided to rehabilitate the residents of Kogilu Layout. It was decided in the meeting led by CM Siddaramaiah to distribute houses in the form of compensation to the deserving. CM Siddaramaiah said that we will make an alternative arrangement on the basis of humanity.
Eligible persons will be notified of alternative arrangements after checking tomorrow or later. The house will be given based on the list given by the DC and Corporation officials. Congress leader Venugopal also discussed this. Venugopal also discussed with DCM DK Shivakumar. I told them that I will make arrangements elsewhere, according to which houses have been constructed by Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation in Baiyappanahalli survey number 23. He said that Housing Minister Jamir has agreed to give the house on the beginning of the new year.
