The case came to light when the accused allegedly showed these videos to his friends at a liquor party. After huge protest from the local people, the police has arrested the accused Soham Sushant Naik. This case, which came to light from Curchorem area of ​​South Goa, has shaken the entire state.

Girls did not complain due to fear

According to the police, the accused Soham Sushant Naik is the son of a local municipal councilor and is accused of sexually assaulting several minor girls, making their videos and then threatening them through the same videos. It is being told that this sequence was going on for the last three years. Due to fear, shame and stigma, the victims could not complain openly.

The entire incident came to light when the accused allegedly showed the videos of the victims to his friends during a drinks party. From here this matter gradually came to light and huge anger spread in the entire area. As soon as information about the case reached the local people, people gathered outside the police station in large numbers and started demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. According to the information, local citizens and leaders demanded strict action and amid increasing pressure, the police detained and arrested the accused.

Now the police have registered a case against the accused under POCSO Act and Goa Children Act. The court has sent the accused to police custody for 4 days. Police say that the investigation of the case is going on and it is also being ascertained whether other people are also involved in this whole matter. Digital evidence is also being examined to find out the extent of video recording, blackmail and alleged exploitation. At present, there is an atmosphere of anger, fear and outrage over this incident in the entire South Goa and people are demanding that the victims get justice and strictest action should be taken against the culprits.
