Aamir Rashid Ali, the accused arrested in the terrorist blast case near the Red Fort in the national capital (Delhi), has been sent to NIA custody for 10 days by the Delhi court. The National Investigation Agency i.e. NIA had arrested the accused yesterday, after which he presented him in the court today i.e. on 17th November. Let us tell you that on November 10, 13 people were killed and many others were injured in the blast in a car laden with explosives near the Red Fort.
The car used for the blast near the Red Fort was being driven by Doctor Umar Nabi from Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. Umar was linked to a “white collar” terror module which was busted mainly after the recovery of explosives from Faridabad in Haryana.
Aamir had planned the blast
NIA investigation revealed that accused Aamir had conspired to carry out the car blast. He is a resident of Sambura in Pampore, Jammu and Kashmir. Aamir had planned the attack with suicide bomber Umar. Umar was an assistant professor at Al-Falah University, Faridabad. He took a car filled with explosives and detonated it near the Red Fort. The car which exploded was registered in his name. The NIA has seized another vehicle of suicide bomber Omar, which is being examined for additional evidence. So far, the investigation team has examined 73 witnesses, including several injured victims.
Two summons issued to Chairman of Al Falah University
At the same time, Delhi Police has issued two summons to the chairman of the university in connection with the investigation of the Faridabad terror module case and two cases registered against Al Falah University for forgery and fraud. The Crime Branch registered two FIRs against the Haryana-based university on charges of fraud and forgery after the University Grants Commission (UGC) and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) raised serious concerns on Saturday. Officials said both regulatory bodies identified “major irregularities” after reviewing the university’s accreditation claims and handed over their findings to law enforcement agencies.
