The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested an accused for conspiring to carry out the bomb blast near the Red Fort in Delhi. There was a blast in a car near Red Fort metro station. 10 people died and 30 were injured in this blast. NIA, which is investigating this case, has arrested Aamir Rashid Ali, a resident of Kashmir. The investigating agency was conducting raids in many states in search of him. The NIA has seized another vehicle of suicide bomber Omar, which is being examined for additional evidence. So far, investigators have interviewed 73 witnesses, including several injured victims.
NIA investigation revealed that accused Aamir had conspired to carry out the car blast. He is a resident of Sambura in Pampore, Jammu and Kashmir. Aamir had planned the attack with suicide bomber Umar. Umar was an assistant professor at Al-Falah University, Faridabad. He took a car filled with explosives and caused a blast near the Red Fort. The car which exploded. It was registered in his name. The NIA has seized another vehicle of suicide bomber Omar, which is being examined for additional evidence. So far, the investigation team has examined 73 witnesses, including several injured victims.
Terrorist module exposed in Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu and Kashmir Police has exposed the terrorist module during the investigation. It is alleged that many doctors and people holding high positions were running this gang. Officials say that this module was on the lookout for a suicide bomber since last year, with Dr. Omar Nabi at the center of the plot. Police suspect that he was the mastermind of the bomb blasts at the Red Fort on 6 December and 10 November.
How was it revealed?
After interrogating the accused Dr Adil Rather and Dr Muzaffar Ganai, the police reached Qazigund, where they detained Jasir alias Danish. His arrest exposed the extensive network associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed. Danish revealed that he met “Doctor Module” at a mosque in Kulgam in October last year and was later taken to a rented room at Al-Falah University, where he was allegedly groomed to become a suicide bomber. This flan failed after he withdrew in April due to financial and religious concerns.
The accused had gone to Türkiye
Dr Omar and co-accused Dr Muzammil Ahmed Ghani had visited Türkiye in 2021. Here he allegedly met Jaish-e-Mohammed operatives. After returning from Türkiye he collected about 360 kg of explosives, most of which was hidden near the university campus. The plan to attack on December 6 failed after Dr. Ghani was arrested.
Revealed from the poster
The terrorist network first came to light in October. When posters of Jaish-e-Mohammed were seen in Banpora of Naugam. Several arrests were made based on CCTV footage, including former paramedic and Imam Maulvi Irfan Ahmed. He was accused of radicalizing doctors.
