BMC issues ‘show cause’ notice to ‘Dhurandhar 2’ director

What is the news?

Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is releasing on March 19. Recently news came that director Aditya Dhar’s production house, B62 Studios, has been blacklisted by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The reason was said to be the use of 2 generator vans and gas cylinders on the roof of the old building without permission during the shooting. Now the latest update is that the production house has not been blacklisted yet, while a ‘show cause’ notice was issued to the team.

Notice issued against production house and 2 others

Bombay Times In conversation with BMC Municipal Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani said that the matter is of ward level, hence show cause notice has been sent to two persons named Komal Pokhriyal and Nasir Khan, along with the production house of director Aditya and producer Lokesh Dhar. He said that the production house cannot be blacklisted without hearing. BMC is happy with the flourishing of entertainment industry in Mumbai, but it will not tolerate playing with the safety of citizens.

Negligence was taken during shooting on the set

According to BMC sources, the rules were violated despite repeated warnings being issued to the team of ‘Dhurandhar 2’. Burning torches were used during the shooting. Ignoring the rules, the team used inflammable materials, putting the lives of many people around at risk. Apart from this, there were allegations of using gas for cooking and illegally using the roof of the building.
