Doctor left scissors in the stomach, the woman was suffering from pain for 5 years, it was found in CT scan

A shocking news has come out from Alappuzha, Kerala, when a woman, who had been complaining of stomach pain for the last five years, got checked due to the pain, it was found that the scissors used for surgery were lying inside her stomach. The woman suspects that during her stomach surgery in a government hospital five years ago, the doctor might have left the scissors used in the patient’s stomach. After this matter came to light, State Health Minister Veena George has termed the matter as serious negligence and has ordered a strict investigation and has sent a team of medical officers to Vandanam Government Medical College, where this negligence was committed.

There were scissors in the stomach, the family is demanding justice

Victim Usha Joseph, resident of Punnapara, Alappuzha, said that she was suffering from stomach ache for five consecutive years. They could not understand what was happening. His stomach surgery was done five years ago at the Government Medical College, Alappuzha. Since the operation, he had been suffering from severe pain in his stomach continuously. Although he got treatment for this pain in many hospitals, the reason could not be found. Finally, when he got an MRI done, the scan revealed the presence of scissors in the stomach. However, even during investigation at Vandanam Medical College Hospital, the scissors were not initially detected. He was sent back from the hospital saying that he had kidney stones. He was later taken to Amrita Hospital Kochi for surgery where an MRI revealed scissors left inside the stomach. Usha Joseph and her family are demanding justice.
