Haveri: Due to the negligence of the doctors at the District Women and Children’s Hospital, Haveri, a newborn baby was bleeding profusely after a blade hit his head during a caesarean section.

Bibi Apsa, wife of Mohammed Mujaheed from Ranebennur, was admitted to the hospital yesterday for her first delivery. The doctor suggested an emergency caesarean because the water content in the womb was low. The family members believed the doctor and agreed to the surgery. But the negligence of the doctors in the operation theater has now cost the life of the child. The blade used by the doctor in the rush to perform a caesarean section directly hit the newborn’s head.

The child’s head was bleeding heavily due to being hit by the blade, and the child’s condition is now critical and is being treated in the ICU of the hospital. The doctor’s blunder caused the couple to worry.

Bibi Apsa’s family members and relatives protested in the hospital premises condemning the doctor’s negligence. At this time, he demanded that strict action should be taken against the doctor who brought the health of the child.
