Driver lost control of the river

Shimoga: An incident where a woman was killed when a driver lost control of a car and fell into a river near Mandagadde. The deceased is Savita Devadiga (57), a resident of Thekkatte in Kundapur.

Thekkatte Shankara Devadiga was on his way to the daughter of Shimoga in his Maruti Swift car with six members of the family. At around 11 am, the driver lost control of the road near Mandagadde and the car crashed into the river. Locals have come to the throat as the car is drowning in the water. However, Shankara Devadiga’s wife Savita could not be rescued. He has died in an accident.

Shankara Devadiga sustained minor injuries, his sons Arun Devadiga and Ashwaththa Devadiga, daughter Amrita, son -in -law Suresh Devadiga and two -and -a -half -year -old grandson Abhisayayi. The car was completely shattered by the accident and was extracted from the river with the help of a crane. A case has been registered at the Malur police station.
