Delhi Crime Branch had registered 2 FIRs
ED had started this investigation on the basis of two FIRs, which were registered by Delhi Police Crime Branch. The FIR alleged that Faridabad’s Al Falah University had wrongly claimed to have NAAC accreditation.

False information was given about recognition under Section 12(B) of UGC. UGC has clarified that Al Falah University is listed only as a state private university under section 2(f). He has never applied for recognition under 12(B).
These things were recovered in the raid
The Enforcement Directorate team in Delhi on Tuesday raided 19 places, in which Al Falah University and the houses of important people associated with this trust were raided. Cash has been recovered during the raid. More than Rs 48 lakh in cash, several digital devices, important documents and evidence of several shell companies have been recovered.

Al-Falah Charitable Trust was established on 8 September 1995. Javed Ahmed Siddiqui has been the trustee of this trust since day one and he actually controls the entire group. The university and all its affiliated colleges come under this trust. The Trust and the Group have expanded very rapidly since the 1990s, but this growth has not matched their real/normal financial capacity.
