Tamil Nadu Election Opinion Poll: The Election Commission has announced the dates for Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026. Voting in Tamil Nadu will take place on 23 April 2026 and the result will be declared on 4 May. Amidst the announcement of election dates in Tamil Nadu, the opinion poll has also come out there. NDA is expected to get majority in opinion poll.

According to MATRIZE-IANS opinion poll on Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026, this time the NDA in alliance with AIADMK and BJP can get majority. NDA is expected to get 114-127 seats, DMK 104-114 seats and TVK 6-12 seats. According to opinion poll, there could be a tough contest between NDA and DMK.

Voting will be held in Tamil Nadu on 23 April

Tamil Nadu assembly elections will be held in one phase. Here the date of gazette notification is 30 March 2026. The last date for nomination for the candidates here is 6th April 2026. Whereas, voting will be held on 23 April 2026. After this, the result of Tamil Nadu Assembly elections will be declared on 4 May 2026.

Statistics of previous assembly election results

If we look at the results of Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2021, DMK became the largest party. DMK had won 133 seats. At the same time, AIADMK got 66 seats, Congress 18, PMK 5, VCK 4 and others 8 seats. DMK faces the challenge of repeating its performance in the upcoming assembly elections.
