On the basis of intelligence received from the accused Tanishq, arrested last week, the police came to know that he was working closely with Arun, a resident of Gaya. ANTF team led by SI Vikasdeep reached Gaya and Arun was arrested during investigation. Investigation revealed that he was running a medicine and vial manufacturing factory without any valid license. The drug department team was also called to the spot. Police have seized a huge quantity of fake medicines and machinery from the spot:

This is how the racketeering went on

In Arun’s factory, illegally smuggled Tramadol powder (more than 5 kg, whose value in the international market is said to be more than Rs 5 crore) was processed and tablets were made. These tablets were sold at high prices in the illegal market as an alternative to heroin. The entire process from raw material procurement to manufacturing and supply was being conducted illegally.
