Bilaspur: A surprising case has come to light from Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. Here on Monday, a family claimed to have found a live worm with eggs inside a chocolate manufactured by a famous company. Food Safety Department Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Kashyap said that if this complaint is found to be true, he will thoroughly investigate the matter. He clarified that the administration will not allow such items to be sold and strict action will be taken against suppliers and manufacturers if irregularities are found.

In fact, the family claimed that the last date for consumption on the chocolate packet was May 2026 and a code number was also written on it. The family said that they will approach the court against the company over this matter. According to the information, Ramesh Chand Kaundal, resident of Mandi Manwa village of Bilaspur Sadar area, claimed that he had bought a chocolate worth five rupees from the local market. He told that when he opened the wrapper to give it to his son Shiva, he allegedly found a live worm inside the chocolate, which had also laid eggs there.

Kaundal claimed that he noticed the child even before he ate the chocolate. He feared that if the child ate it, his life could be in danger. He said that despite the expiry date of May 2026 being mentioned on the packet, finding such dirt in it raises serious questions on the quality control of the company. Kaundal said that he has kept the chocolate safe and will now take legal action against the company. Now, after a live worm was found in a chocolate packet, people have also raised questions on the seriousness of this matter.
