Talkies app OTT has written a new chapter in digital entertainment. This is the first time in history that Hollywood movies are being dubbed in Tulu language and a significant effort to broadcast Hollywood movies in North Karnataka’s Javari language has also started. Talkies App – in collaboration with Sony Pictures Films, is successfully spearheading this task of increasing the respect and reach of regional languages. The organization feels that this is good news for viewers who want to enjoy watching movies in their regional language.
It is the fourth OTT in India after Amazon Prime, Netflix, Jio Hot Star as a platform to show Hollywood movies in local language. What is special is that it is being broadcast in Tulu and Javari languages for the first time. Astra Productions and Citadel Developers are sponsoring this effort in Tulu, while Mangalam Pipes is partnering for Javari language. Many movies including Spider-Man, Godzilla, Karate Kid, Anaconda, Men in Black will be available in desi language.
