Head-on collision between transport bus and lorry – 12 passengers seriously injured! – Btv Kannada

Bagalkot: 12 passengers were seriously injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a lorry near Lokapura in Mudhol taluk today.

The accident took place between a KSRTC bus going to Belgaum from Illakal to Lokapur and a lorry coming from Belgaum to Lokapur. Both the vehicles collided head-on on the main road near Lokapura and the front of the bus was damaged.

Immediately after the accident, the locals rushed to the rescue. Fortunately there were no casualties. 12 injured people have been admitted to hospitals in Lokapura and Bagalkot and are being treated.

Bagalkote District Superintendent of Police (SP) Siddharth Goyal and Jamkhandi DySP Jameer Roshan, Mudhol CPI Mahadev Sirahatti and Lokapur PSI Kadappa Jakkanavar visited the spot as soon as the matter came to know.
