Pant became the first Indian to score a century in both innings in England

Pant has become the second wicketkeeper batsman in the world to score a century in both innings of a Test match with this century. Prior to him, this feat was done by former wicketkeeper batsman of Zimbabwe cricket team Andy Flower. He scored 142 and 199* in both innings of the Test played against South Africa cricket team in Harare in 2001. Apart from these two, no other wicketkeeper has done this.

7th Indian who scored a century in both innings

Pant has become the 7th Indian to score a century in both innings. He has joined the club of Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid, Vijay Hazare, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma. Gavaskar has done this 3 times and Dravid has done this 2 times.
