Linking LPG gas connection with Aadhar card is necessary to avail the benefits of government subsidies and other schemes. Its purpose is to protect the identity of the beneficiaries and prevent fake claims. If you have not yet linked your connection with Aadhaar, then there may be difficulty in getting subsidy. Link in this way sitting at home
First go to the official Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) website and select ‘LPG’ from the ‘Benefit Type’ options. After selecting your gas connection provider from the plan list, select your local distributor and enter your LPG consumer number. Enter your mobile number, email address and Aadhaar details. After this you will receive OTP on your mobile and email. After official verification and confirmation, Aadhaar will be linked to the LPG connection.
You will be able to link offline like this
For offline method, go to ‘LPG Services’ section on the official website of your gas connection provider and click on ‘Join DBTL using Aadhaar’ or ‘Download Forms’ option. Download and print Form 1 (Bank Account-Aadhaar Link) and Form 2 (LPG-Aadhaar Link) from here. Fill Form 1 and submit it to the bank or gas distributor office along with the Aadhar card copy, while Form 2 will have to be filled and submitted to the LPG distributor along with the necessary documents.
