Speaking in a recent interview, he said, ‘To be honest, even if I had spent 3 crores, 6 crores or 10 crores on the PR team, I wouldn’t have got this much publicity. Someone deliberately created rumors about me and Dhanush. But because of those rumours, my name spread all over India. “I will always be indebted to them for creating those rumors and giving me free publicity,” Mrinal said.

Mrinal and Dhanush were seen together in many places. Stories were created that the two were deeply in love and were going to get married on Valentine’s Day. Responding to this, Mrinal said, ‘According to their calculations, our marriage should have been over by now’.
