Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has given a strong reaction to the controversial statement of Karnataka Government Minister Priyank Kharge. VHP’s International Organization General Secretary Milind Parande said in Nagpur that the intelligence and thoughts of the one who calls God a devil can be understood. The people of Karnataka, who call a patriotic organization like Sangh the devil, should think about whether to bring them back to power or not.
He said that Vishwa Hindu Parishad urges that those who talk about Hindu interests should sit in the Center and the State. Sangh is a patriotic organization, which talks about the welfare of everyone. If someone talks nonsense about this organization, he should be shown the place and the people there will also show him the place.
Statement on Tipu Sultan and Babri Masjid dispute
VHP also reacted to the ongoing controversy regarding Tipu Sultan in Maharashtra. Parande said that such “icons” are being erected at some places in the country, which do not match the tradition and faith of India. He alleged that somewhere efforts are being made to portray foreign rulers like Babar as ideals, while somewhere efforts are being made to re-establish symbols like Babri Masjid. VHP says that such efforts can create tension in the society and there is a need to be alert on these. The organization called for it to be stopped, calling it a “dangerous trend”.
Sambhaji Nagar temple purification case
VHP also reacted to the issue of some youth purifying the temple with cow urine after Maharashtra Minister Abdul Sattar visited a temple in Sambhaji Nagar. Milind Parande said, “If devout people do something out of faith, then it should be understood in the same sense. It is not just the act, but the feeling that matters. If there is no feeling then it will become a political stunt. Religion should not be used for political stunts, because it is an insult to faith.”
Security of Hindu community in Bangladesh?
VHP also expressed concern about the security of Hindu society in Bangladesh. He said that irrespective of any government coming there, the safety of Hindus should be ensured, this is our expectation. We will immediately understand what will happen in a few days, then we will talk after that. Till now the people of Bangladesh have been incapable of protecting the Hindu society. Saying incompetent has also become a very soft word, many times violence has been sponsored through political parties. Any government should protect the Hindus coming there.
