Important meeting by GBA Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao – Important directive to the commissioners of 5 city corporations! – Btv Kannada

Bangalore: GBA (Greater Bangalore) Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao held a review meeting with the Commissioners of 5 Municipal Corporations regarding the city’s major infrastructure and civic services. Important directions were given in the meeting regarding smooth traffic in the city, maintenance of street lights and implementation of civic welfare schemes.

Installation of LED street lights across the city should be expedited. Inoperative lamps should be replaced immediately.

Potholes on arterial, sub-arterial and ward roads are suggested to be covered on priority. Also, it was directed to expeditiously restore cuts caused by water-board road excavations.

To facilitate smooth movement of pedestrians, the pavements should be cleared of encroachments using jet spray.

The commissioner was instructed to ensure that government welfare schemes reach the beneficiaries on time without any delay.

As per the recommendations of the traffic police, emphasis was laid on construction of pedestrian flyovers at the required major junctions.

Directed to strengthen monitoring and maintain quality of link roads, white-topping and drain-side connection projects works under Besmile.

Special Commissioner Munish Maudgil, BSWML CEO Karegowda, Corporation Commissioners Rajendra Cholan, Pommala Sunil Kumar, Ramesh K.N., Dr. Rajendra KV, Additional Commissioner R. Lata, Lokhande Snehal Sudhakar, Digvijay Bodke, Daljit Kumar, Naveen Kumar Raju, Chief Engineers and other officials were present.
