Mujahid announced action on social media
“In response to repeated provocations and violations by Pakistani military forces, large-scale offensive operations have been launched against Pakistani military bases and installations along the Durand Line,” Taliban administration spokesman Mujahid wrote in a post on Twitter. Taliban forces have fortified large areas along the Durand Line with advanced laser systems. These capabilities will destroy enemy mobile units under the cover of darkness.
Afghan fighters captured several Pakistani military posts
Mujahid further said that Afghan fighters have captured several Pakistani military posts. According to him, 2 posts in Machine Boat area of Dora Baba, 3 in Anargi (Goshta) and 2 in Doklam in Kunar province have been captured. Pakistan has not yet publicly confirmed these claims. With this statement of Afghanistan, the ongoing tension between the two neighboring countries has reached a high level.
Walid Kor spokesperson also issued a statement
A spokesman for the Taliban’s 201 Khalid bin Walid Corps said Afghan border forces have launched a counter-offensive in eastern provinces bordering Pakistan. They claim that this action is a direct reaction to Pakistani air strikes. Although details regarding the number of casualties or the scale of the confrontation are still unclear, the rhetoric indicates a coordinated military response rather than a minor border skirmish.
