Apart from him, Tilak Verma also played a useful inning of 44 not out.

Earlier, India’s previous highest score in the T20 World Cup was 218/4 runs, which was made in the match played against England in 2007. In that match, Yuvraj Singh had achieved the feat of hitting 6 consecutive sixes in Stuart Broad’s over.
