India reacted to the blast

On behalf of India, the Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement on the blast in Islamabad. According to the statement issued, India said, “The bomb blast at the mosque in Islamabad this morning is condemnable and India expresses its deepest condolences on the loss of life and property. It is unfortunate that instead of seriously addressing the problems plaguing its social fabric, Pakistan is choosing to confuse itself by blaming others for its domestic crises. India completely rejects every such allegation, which is baseless and meaningless.”

Explosion in the big mosque of Shia community

Let us tell you that the mosque in Islamabad where the suicide attack took place today is a big mosque of Shia community. There is also a Madrasa and Imambara in the mosque campus itself. Since it is a big Shia mosque in the area, there is a huge crowd of people offering Namaz on Fridays, hence the time of Namaz was chosen for the suicide attack. The suicide bomber’s intention was to explode among the worshipers, but the security guards became suspicious of the suicide bomber’s actions, so they stopped him. After this he took out his automatic rifle and started firing. By the time the security guards could retaliate, the attacker detonated a blast at the gate of the mosque.
