Arrests are being made continuously in connection with the protest at Bharat Mandapam during the AI Summit in Delhi. National President of Indian Youth Congress Uday Bhanu Chib has been arrested by Delhi Police. A total of 8 accused have been arrested so far.
Security increased in Patiala House Court
Delhi Police has presented Uday Bhanu Chib in the court. Security has been increased outside and inside the Patiala House Court. Para military force has been deployed. A large number of Congress workers have gathered outside the court.
Former CM of Chhattisgarh strongly condemned
Congress leaders have expressed displeasure over the arrest of the Indian Youth Congress President. Former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel said that I strongly condemn the illegal arrest of Uday Bhanu Chib and other young comrades by Delhi Police.

Government is resorting to police repression
Baghel said that this was a courageous, justified and democratic step, to suppress which the government is now resorting to police repression. This action is not only illegal but also a direct attack on freedom of expression and democracy.
IYC workers should be released immediately
The former CM said that we demand that all the arrested IYC workers including Uday Bhanu Chib be immediately released and all false charges against them be withdrawn and such repressive actions be stopped immediately.
