India’s major aircraft accidents: aircraft collided in Haryana, 329 lives in ‘Kanishka’

On October 19, 1988, the Indian Airlines flight in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, crashed 2 km from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport during the IC-113 takeoff.

There were 135 people in the aircraft, of which 133 were killed. Among them were 5 children and 6 crew members. The aircraft was coming from Mumbai to Ahmedabad.

The investigation revealed that the accident happened due to the fault of the pilot.
