Bangalore: Actor Kannada Film Chamber President Narasimhal has written to Narasimhalu, while Kamal Haasan is in the High Court for the release of the film. Kamal Haasan, who wrote a lengthy letter to the Film Chamber, has again defended his statement and has not apologized.

What’s in the letter? Legendary actor Dr. Kamal Haasan has said that my statement of Rajkumar and Shivrajkumar has been misinterpreted.

My words are all we are the same family. It is not told to shrink Kannada in any way. There is no controversy or debate about the rich heritage of Kannada language. Like Tamil, Kannada has said that I have a proud literary and cultural tradition that I have ever admired.

Throughout my career, I have obeyed the warmth and affection that the Kannada speaking community gave me. I say this with clear conscience and firmness. My love for language is true, and I have great respect for the love that Kannadigas have about their mother tongue. My relationship with Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and all the languages of this ground is permanent.

I always stand in favor of equal dignity of all Indian languages. I oppose the dominance of any one language. This is because such an imbalance can ruin the linguistic structure of the Union of India.

I know the language of the cinema and speak. Cinema is a universal language that only knows love and relationship. My statement is only to establish that bond and unity between all of us. I wanted to share this love and relationship that my elders taught me. Shivanna attended the audio launch event with this love and rapport. This made Shivanna feel embarrassed. This is really regret me. Cinema should remain a bridge among the people. Don’t remain a wall that divides them. This was the purpose of my statement.

This misunderstanding is temporary and an opportunity to reiterate our mutual love and respect. Kamal Haasan wrote a long letter, “I am honest.”
