New Delhi: Thousands of poor Muslims have been forcibly evicted by running bulldozers at the houses of thousands of poor Muslims in Dhubri and Gwalpara districts of Assam. Now the tents in which the affected people have taken shelter are also being broken. Eating and drinking things and other supply have been banned to those people and bullets are being fired on people. These situations are not only a violation of democratic values but also indicate open barbarity against humanity. All this is happening on the orders of the Chief Minister of the state, which is the most embarrassing event in the history of India, which is not an example in the era of tyrannical English rule. These things have been revealed in the report sent by Jamiat Ulama Assam to Maulana Mahmud Asad Madani, President of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind.
Tour under the leadership of Maulana Mohammad Hakimuddin Kasami
Let us know that a delegation led by Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind General Secretary Maulana Mohammad Hakimuddin Kasami visited these affected areas on 15 and 16 July and prepared an important report. Maulana Hakimuddin Kasami said that if we apply it to ourselves, life seems unbearable. It seems that the Assam government does not consider these people as humans. According to the report, the state administration has crossed the limits of harassment and atrocities. On July 17, a 17 -year -old refugee youth was killed and three others were seriously injured in police firing in Ashodobi village located in Pikan forest area of Gawlapara on July 17. The incident occurred when thousands of people forcibly evicted on July 12 demanded the opening of the road and the supply of food and water peacefully. The administration has tortured the affected area tortured. Help organizations are not allowed to enter, hand pumps are uprooted, toilet facilities are negligible and women and children are worried for drinking water. Although food and tarpaulin have been distributed at some places by Jamiat Ulama-e-Assam, it is difficult to reach them due to government siege.
More than 20 thousand Muslims evicted
The Jamiat delegation also visited Charakatara, Santoshpur, Charava Bakra of Dhubri district, where more than 20,000 Muslims have been evicted from their homes. 5,700 voters and 3,500 families have been affected here. He is being asked to move to a place in the middle of the Brahmaputra, where there is no population and the land is sandy. There is neither water nor shelter system, nor any name of life. All this is happening in the name of the solar project of Gautam Adani. On the other hand, a section of media is trying to end public sympathy by repeatedly calling these Indian citizens ‘foreign Bangladeshi’, which is a matter of serious concern.
Demand for immediate intervention from government
Under these circumstances, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind demands immediate intervention from the government that all the evicted people can be provided with food, water, medical aid and shelter immediately. Roads should be opened so that aid organizations can reach the affected areas, strict legal action should be taken against the officers involved in police firing, immediate compensation should be given to the victims and providing alternative land. Bangladeshi’s propaganda should be stopped and the process of atrocities and torture on minorities should be stopped. Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind has announced that it will provide all possible support to these oppressed people at the legal, human and public levels and will raise its voice on every platform to shake the conscience of the country.
In the delegation of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, in addition to the general secretary of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, Hafiz Bashir Ahmad Kasami, General Secretary of Assam State Jamieet Ulama, Additional General Secretary Maulana Abdul Qadir Kasami, Maulana Mehboob Hasan and Maulana Fazlul Karim Kasami, Mukti Kasti Kasami in Gwalpara district Ijjat Ali, Janab Abdul Hai, Janab Abul Kalam, Maulana Abul Hashim, Maulana Abu Talib, Balasipara District Jamieat President Mufti Yahya, Chapar District Zamiayat President Hafiz Lukman, Kokrajhar District Jamiat President Mufti Sajid, Dhubari District Jamiat President Maulana Abdul Majid etc. were also present.
