During the Amarnath Yatra, there has been an uproar to provide a trains with dilapidated and dirty coaches to bring BSF personnel for security deployment. After the incident came to light, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has taken strong action and suspended four officers. These include three senior section engineers and a coaching depot officer of Alipurduar Rail Division. The Railway Minister has also issued orders to investigate the matter. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has made it clear that the dignity of the country’s security forces is paramount and such negligence will not be tolerated.

According to the top officials of the Border Security Force, 13 companies of the Border Security Force on Monday were to remove BSF jawans from Udaipur, Silchar, Guwahati, and the rest of the frontier to Jammu. When is Amarnath Yatra starting?

The Amarnath Yatra starts from July 3 this year. The journey will run for 38 days and end on 9 August. In view of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, special security arrangements are being made for the Amarnath Yatra this year. The central government has decided to deploy a total of 581 CAPF companies during the visit. It will include around 42,000 security personnel.
