JDU raised demand to disqualify its own MP, notice submitted to Lok Sabha Speaker

Janata Dal (United) has demanded disqualification of its MP Giridhari Yadav for anti-party activities. JDU has also submitted a notice to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. JDU parliamentary party leader in Lok Sabha Dileshwar Kamat has given this notice on Tuesday.

Girdhari Yadav is an MP from Banka Lok Sabha seat of Bihar. Confirming JDU’s move, party working president Sanjay Kumar Jha said the notice against Yadav has been served because his son Chanakya Prakash Ranjan had contested the Bihar Assembly elections as a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate from Belhar seat under Banka Lok Sabha constituency.

No one claimed that they could not cast their vote because their name was removed from the voter list. The Election Commission did a very good job, but they took a different approach.

JDU national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad said that Kamat has submitted the notice in the interest of the party after taking a decision in this regard. He said, ‘No matter what Giridhari Yadav is saying, action is taken against anyone who goes against party interests or indulges in anti-party activities. Giridhari ji cannot be an exception. Therefore, this decision has been taken in the interest of the party.
