His return is considered to be a big relief for England’s injured fast bowling unit.

Archer did not play Test match after February 2021

Archer has not played a single Test match since February 2021. He last played first class cricket in May 2021 for Sussex. After this, his return was repeatedly postponed due to continuous injuries. Archer may return in second Test

Archer is currently among the many fast bowlers struggling with injury. Apart from them, Mark Wood, Oli Stone and Gas Atkinson are also not available at the moment. Wood recently said that he is aiming to return to the 5th Test to be held between India and England. At the same time, Archer’s return to international cricket may be in the second Test match between India and England.

What did Captain Stokes say about Archer?

Ben Stokes shared an interesting anecdote about Archer. He said in an interview, “Sometimes he suddenly sent a message to me, which would have just written -‘Zimbabwe?’ I answer- Just wait, stop there now you know that you are in a very difficult phase in the last few times, but they have played a lot of cricket in the limited overs format. ”
