Kartik Aryan and producer Kabir Khan first collaborated for the film ‘Chandu Champion’ (2024). This sports-drama created a lot of buzz but failed to win the hearts of the audience. This is why Karthik and Kabir are not completely satisfied, and are coming together again for a new film. It is reported that this upcoming film will be inspired by sports drama in which Karthik can be seen in the role of a coach.
Kabir Khan started shooting the film
mid-day According to reports, producer Kabir has started shooting for his untitled sports-drama film on March 16 at a restaurant in Parel. The shooting schedule was completed with around 70 junior artistes on the very first day. The film will reportedly be inspired by Kashmiri kickboxing talent Tajamul Islam. The identity of the actor playing the role of the kickboxing star has been kept secret at the moment, but if reports are to be believed, Karthik will play the role of his coach in the film.

A source close to the project said, “In the initial scenes, the story revolves around small aspects of everyday life. Kartik will join the shoot by the end of the week. He is taking kickboxing training for the role.” He further told that after shooting for about 2 weeks in Mumbai, the producers will leave for Kashmir, because Tajamul Islam is from there. She is India’s youngest 2-time World Kickboxing Champion.
