Sandalwood actor Duniya Vijay’s much awaited movie ‘Landlord’ opened across the state today. Earlier, Jadesh had joined hands with director Tarun Sudhir for the story and screenplay of the blockbuster hit movie ‘Katera’. Now the movie ‘Landlord’ has been made under the direction of Jadesh.
The film is a struggle against rural exploitation and inequality in the 80s. The story of the film takes place in a village called ‘Hulidurga’ in Kolar. The zamindar of the town Chikkejamanru (Raj B. Shetty) keeps the entire town under his feet from his Darpa. His insistence was that the laborers should remain as laborers, no one should own land. In such a situation Rachaiah (Duniya Vijay) from Ramadurga bursts out against the injustice. When Rachaiya’s daughter Bhagya (Ritanya) comes to the same town as a police constable, the father-daughter team up with the power of the constitution to put an end to the zamindar’s monarchy is the exciting story of this film.

Vijay is brilliant in the role of Rachaiya. His acting like a calm volcano and his action sequences have given fans a treat.
Raj B, who has appeared in the role of a full-fledged villain for the first time. Shetty, with his brutal looks and words, sends shivers through the audience. The encounter between the two is the highlight of the film. Rachita Ram has given a mature performance as Ningavva. His combination with Vijay is strong. While Rithanya Vijay grabbed attention in her debut film, Shishir Baikadi and Umashree did justice to their roles.

Director Jadesh Hampi has succeeded in recreating the atmosphere of the 80s. Background music by Ajanish Loknath, Swami J. The film has Gowda cinematography, Masti’s dialogues.
The movie ‘Landlord’ covers the story of the struggle for land and existence. It is a film that can be watched with the family as it ignites a revolution against the inequality of the society.
