A major incident has been foiled at Bengaluru Airport, one of the major airports of India. Here suddenly a suspected attacker started running with a knife. The attacker had a knife in his hand and was running after two taxi drivers to attack them. Scared taxi drivers were running to save their lives. During this time, the CISF personnel deployed at the spot became alert and caught the attacker. Due to this, a major incident was averted at Bengaluru Airport.

How was the accident averted?

Actually, this entire incident happened near the arrival gate in Terminal-1 of Bengaluru Airport, which is one of the busiest airports in the country. At the time of this incident, the CISF soldier deployed for security became alert. CISF ASI Sunil immediately swung into action and caught the knife-wielding attacker from behind and controlled him. This entire incident of knife attack has been captured in CCTV.

What was found out about the accused?

The name of the attacker who openly stabbed at the airport is said to be Suhail. The incident took place after midnight on 16th November. After this attack the security forces have become alert. Suhail has been taken into custody and interrogated. During initial interrogation, Suhail said that he attacked due to old rivalry. The security deployed at the airport has handed over all the people involved in this incident to the police.

CISF gave information

A major crime was averted at Bengaluru airport due to timely intervention of CISF. Around midnight on 16 November, a man armed with a knife began attacking two taxi drivers in the T1 arrivals area. Acting swiftly, ASI/Exe Sunil Kumar and the team overpowered the attacker and recovered the knife, resulting in no harm to the passengers or staff. The accused and all those involved were immediately handed over to KIA police for further legal action. Preliminary investigation suggests that the act was in retaliation for an earlier dispute. CISF continues its commitment to protect passengers, airport personnel and critical aviation infrastructure.”
