New Delhi: Summer has arrived in North-West India. The temperature is continuously increasing in many states of the country including Delhi. Due to this the heat is increasing. The Meteorological Department has predicted a gradual increase of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature over the plains of northwest India in the next seven days. Because of this, the day temperature in many areas is likely to be 3 to 5 degrees Celsius above normal throughout the week. The maximum temperature is also expected to increase in Central India in the next few days, while the temperature in Eastern India may also increase gradually.
Maximum temperature reached 36.6°C in Maharashtra-Tamil Nadu
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in Punjab, Western Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Eastern Rajasthan, Assam, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal were recorded 3-5°C above normal. Maximum temperatures are being recorded between 34-37°C in Western Rajasthan, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Western and Southern Peninsular India. Maximum temperatures were recorded between 30-34°C over Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, rest parts of Rajasthan and many parts of Central and East India. In the last 24 hours, the highest temperature of 36.6°C was recorded in the plains of India in Erode (Tamil Nadu) and Sholapur (Maharashtra).
Minimum temperature recorded 10.0°C
Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad recorded lowest temperatures below 0°C. Temperatures are being recorded up to 6°C in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Minimum temperatures of 7-12°C are being recorded in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Sikkim. Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Maharashtra and Jharkhand are recording minimum temperatures of 12-15°C. In the plains of India, Alwar (Rajasthan) and Ambikapur (Chhattisgarh) recorded the lowest minimum temperatures of 10.0°C.

There is a possibility of cloudy sky in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir due to Western Disturbance. Light rain or snowfall may also occur in higher reaches, while Arunachal Pradesh is also expected to receive light rain. There may be isolated showers over Kerala and Karnataka, but there is no possibility of heavy rain. There may be rain in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 27 and 28 February. Here winds can blow at a speed of 30-40 km.
How will the weather be in Delhi?
The sky will be mostly clear in Delhi-NCR, there may be light clouds till afternoon. The maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to be between 30°C to 32°C and the minimum between 14°C to 16°C. In the morning the wind will blow from the west direction and the wind speed can reach up to 10 kmph. In the afternoon the wind speed will increase to 15 kmph from north-west direction.
